Shilpa is not your typical 23-year-old woman. The Indian/American entrepreneur, who is a rising senior at Harvard, runs her own jewellery business called Shiffon Co., which makes “Duet Pinky Rings” from recycled and fair trade gold with ethically sourced diamonds. The brand’s motto? “Wear the change you want to see”.

An iconic Yves Saint Laurent heart-shaped necklace was created in 1962 and has since been featured in numerous YSL collections. The last time we saw it on the runway was during the 2002 Haute Couture show in Paris.
